Do You Know What's in Your Energy Drink?
 Channel 7's Carolyn Clifford did an investigative report that aired on Thursday, May 3rd @ 11 p.m. Her findings showed that there are misperceptions about these drinks and that parents and teens need to be educated about them. Some of these drinks mix high levels of caffeine with alcohol. The marketing of them specifically targets teens and young adults with their hip packaging. It even becomes difficult to tell which ones contain alcohol among those that don't because of the labelling - they all look alike. Sara Dzierbicki and Jessica Stanley from the Coalition's Youth Action Board were intereviewed by Carolyn Clifford in the WXYZ studios along with Donnis Reese from the Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities. This report coupled with the recent news about the father unknowingly giving his underage son Mike's Hard Lemonade at Comerica Park, reminds us to be diligent and educated about what our children are drinking! watch the video
